Naoto Suzuki M.C., Registered Psychologist

Counselling Statement:

 

Naoto Suzuki is a Registered Psychologist licensed by the College of Alberta Psychologist and a member of the Psychologists' Association of Alberta. He holds a Master of Counselling degree from Trinity Western University in British Columbia and has 18 years of clinical experience in the mental health and addiction field. He is a Doctor of Ministry student at Providence Theological Seminary in Manitoba. He is in the process of obtaining certification in Animal-Assisted Therapy through Dreamcatcher Nature-Assisted Therapy in Edmonton.

His main theoretical orientation is CBT: cognitive behavioural therapy is the most proven approach for mood issues. Also, he has training in EMDR: eye movement desensitization and reprocessing that is an evidence-based treatment to relieve trauma symptoms.
